| The Marlin Hotel is
the only hotel in Ulladulla, located 227 km south of Sydney via the Princes Highway,
about half way between the larger towns of Batemans Bay to the south and Nowra
to the north. As the first hotel built in NSW after WWII, it has became the local
watering hole and social centre to many a generation. The construction of the
Marlin was seen as the start of Ulladulla's tourism industry along with Shoalhaven,
with its big game fisherman and others among its patrons. Having such rich history
with amenities to service both locals and visitors, it is not surprising that
the hotel enjoys excellent turnover per week even under full management. There
is potential to improve revenue, especially for the hands-on operators, by promoting
accommodation and food. | |
